Our Available Clinic Services & How They Help Patients
DRY NEEDLING
Release Tension & Myofascial Pain
Dry needling is a skilled intervention that uses a thin filiform needle to:
- Penetrate skin and muscle tissue
- Stimulate myofascial restrictions and trigger points (also known as “knots”)
- Release tension in muscles to decrease pain and improve function
Trigger points are areas of restricted muscle tissue that can cause localized or referred pain in various body regions, contributing to:
- Weakness
- Restricted range of motion
- Functional limitations
Thankfully, dry needling is an effective and evidence-based treatment that addresses trigger points and reduces pain.
CUPPING
Reduce Pain & Speed Up Recovery
Cupping uses suction to:
- Increase blood flow
- Minimize fascial restrictions
- Improve mobility
- Speed up recovery
Increasing blood flow to muscles and areas of discomfort helps to optimize the influx of nutrients to promote the body’s natural healing process and speed up recovery.
This method can help to pull the skin away from underlying connective tissue and improve mobility by reducing myofascial restrictions. Scars can get bound by scar tissue, causing pain with movement. Cupping can help to break up scar tissue adhesions to improve skin and underlying tissue mobility, leading to improved function and reduced discomfort.
MANUAL THERAPY
Reduce Pain & Swelling, Improve Range of Motion, Allow Relaxation
Manual therapy techniques include:
- Soft tissue mobilization
- Joint mobilization
- Passive Range of Motion
- Manual stretching
These techniques apply stress strategically to re-establish normal muscle tension and improve range of motion, resulting in exercise with less pain and restoring functional movement patterns.
Pre- / Post-Operative Care
Avoid Surgery, Go into Surgery Stronger, Resume Life Sooner
Pre-operative physical therapy helps patients:
- Avoid surgery and other invasive procedures
- Manage pain prior to surgery
- Optimize post-operative outcomes by improving strength and mobility
Post-operative physical therapy helps patients:
- Reduce pain and swelling after surgery
- Regain mobility and strength
- Prevent long-term impairments and reduce recurrence of injury
Spine Rehabilitation
Reduce Back Pain & Recover From Injury
Beneficial for patients who have had a spinal procedure, as well as for those with an injury or chronic back pain, spine rehab is a comprehensive approach to low back, mid-back, or upper back pain.
It incorporates aspects of manual therapy, such as soft tissue mobilization or dry needling, as well as an individualized exercise program and modalities based on the underlying cause of symptoms.
Sports Rehabilitation
Recover Faster & Return Sooner to Activities You Love
Sports rehab is an area of physical therapy that is targeted at athletes and individuals looking to safely return to sports following an injury or surgery. Treatments will typically be focused on higher-level, sport-specific activities, allowing athletes to progress through the stages of recovery with supervised management of activities and symptoms.
Gait & Mobility Training
Improve Your Ability to Stand & Walk
Learning correct walking mechanics again following injury, illness, or even stroke is essential to return to a busy life.
Utilizing the most appropriate assistive device for your needs, we work closely with you to improve your walking mechanics, balance, and strength, with increasing your independence as the main goal.
Among other interventions, Gait and Mobility Training may include aspects of:
- Core and lower extremity (e.g., leg) strengthening
- Postural control exercises
- Body awareness/ joint positioning during static and dynamic movements
You don’t have to be an older individual to benefit from improved mobility — we work with injured athletes, patients with neurological conditions, and individuals recovering from surgery to restore balance and improve mobility.
Balance Training & Vestibular Rehabilitation
Reduce Your Risk & Fear of Falling
Balance training is a series of interventions designed to address balance impairments and reduce risk of falls.
We treat multiple causes of vertigo and imbalance related to vestibular and neurological conditions including:
- Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV)
- Vestibular hypofunction
- Stroke
- Traumatic brain injury
- Peripheral vestibular nerve injury
Depending on your impairment, your therapist will tailor your rehabilitation to include a series of head, eye, and whole body movements to improve balance and coordination centers in the brain. We will work with you on a variety of different goals to improve your confidence traversing different terrains, performing different daily tasks, and reducing your dizziness symptoms.
HEADACHE MANAGEMENT
Reduce Days of Pain & Reliance on Meds
There are several causes of headaches, some of which may be treatable by physical therapy, like:
- Tension headaches
- Cervicogenic headaches
- Headaches due to jaw dysfunction
- Migraines
Not all causes of headaches are treatable with physical therapy–consult your doctor if pain persists.

IASTM Therapy (scraping)
Improve Range of Motion, Restore Function, & Decrease Pain
Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM), also known as scraping, is an effective, non-invasive treatment option for soft tissues that have been aggravated or damaged by overuse, trauma, or surgery. If you have pain, swelling, and impaired movement caused by soft tissue dysfunction, IASTM may be a great therapeutic option.
IASTM uses a hand-held instrument to stimulate soft tissues so they can regenerate or on scar tissue to help break problematic tissue down. It can be performed with traditional therapy options and may help patients avoid more invasive procedures.
Traction
Reduce Pressure on the Spine, Decrease Nerve & Disc Pain
Traction can be performed manually and mechanically to decompress various spinal segments in order to reduce stress on nerves, discs, or other structures that cause pain. This therapy is commonly used to reduce pain from:
- Pinched nerves
- Foraminal stenosis
- Herniated discs
- Sciatica and other common spinal conditions
Wellness & Fitness
Work out Safely, using Good Technique Or Start Wellness Goals
With a full on-site gym at our Mid Tulsa Clinic, we are able to advance physical therapy patients to the gym level as part of treatment before discharge. Physical therapists at both locations work closely with our on-site personal trainers to simultaneously treat and train patients – getting you to 100% and beyond!
